  • NIFT Entrance Exam

NIFT entrance exam is conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology. They conduct the entrance exam for BDes, B.Ftech, M.FTech, and MFM. The syllabus for the exam includes Communication Ability, Quantitative Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability General Knowledge, and Current Affair. This is a popular entrance exam.   • NID Entrance Exam

NID is an entrance exam for fashion designing by the National Institute of Design. They conduct the exam for BDes and MDes courses. The NID exam is divided into two stages. The very first stage is primary conducted in January and the second stage is for the Mains exam that is conducted in May. The Mains exam is further divided into studio and interview round. The fee for the entrance exam varies as per category i.e. General, SC/ST, OBC, and others.   • DAT Entrance Exam

DAT entrance exam is conducted by MIT Group of Institutions Pune and Avantika University, Ujjain every year. By clearing this exam, students can get admission in fashion design courses at MIT or Avantika University. The exam for DAT is conducted in 2 steps i.e. entrance and studio test which is followed by the personal interview. Its entrance exam is conducted jointly for admission in B.Des and M.Des.   • SOFT Entrance Exam

SOFT CET entrance exam is conducted for admission in fashion designing for female aspirants into UG, PG, and diploma courses. This test is conducted by the School of Fashion Technology every year. One can also fill up the application for Fashion Communication, Textile Design, and others. To submit the application form, aspirants need to register themselves by fulfilling all the eligibility criteria. Students must have cleared 12th standard and fill up all the details, pay the application fee, attaché the latest photograph, etc. The mode of payment for the application fee is online i.e. through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
