Can I get a job in India after MBBS from Russia?

Russia is a well-known destination for Indian students interested in studying medicine at Chuvash State Medical University. Russia is regarded as a secure location for female MBBS students. Many international students, including Indians, have come to Russia to study medicine.

There are approximately 87 medical universities in Russia, with more than 15 medical universities offering MBBS courses in English. There is a low teacher-to-student ratio at their university. Students are divided into small groups so that the professor can pay attention to each student in the class and ensure that each student receives an excellent education.

Any MBBS student from Russia can apply for jobs in any country. The MCI/ WHO has approved some of Russia’s top medical universities. After passing the Medical Licensing Examination, these global recognitions allow students to work anywhere in the world.

After completing MBBS in Russia, Indian students have many options for practise in India. These students must take the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), which is administered by the National Board of Examinations in India. Foreign medical students must pass the MCI screening test to become qualified doctors in India. The FMGE exam is given twice a year, in June and December.

Medical students must complete a one-year mandatory internship after passing the MCI/GMGE Screening Test. Medical students are given hands-on training in this Internship to help them perfect their skills before becoming doctors.

The Foreign Medical Graduates Examination conducts the National Board of Examination (NBE) in India (FMGE). Any Indian student or overseas student of India who obtained their medical degree outside of India but wishes to obtain provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India must pass the MCI Screening Test or FMGE.

For medical graduates, the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination is administered online (via computer). To be considered, candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying marks set by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). To qualify for the exam, students must score at least 150 out of 300 on the FMGE screening test.

Aspirants who pass the FMGE screening test will be considered eligible for Provisional or Permanent Registration from the Medical Council of India and the State Medical Council. Aspirants should be aware that after passing the entrance examination, they will be issued a certificate, which they can access by entering their Roll Number and DOB. Furthermore, aspirants must bring the relevant scorecard as well as the required documents to obtain the pass certificate from the concerned authorities. There is no limit to the number of FMGE screening test attempts for medical students.

In Russia, the MBBS programme lasts 5 to 6 years and includes education, training, and an internship. After becoming doctors, students can apply for jobs at any hospital in the world. Obtaining a work permit in Russia is also simple, and they can continue to work there. Medical graduates with an MBBS degree from another country can return to India and work in either public or private hospitals after passing the NMC (National Medical Commission) exam.
